Effort to ban trapping near Wyoming trails gains ground but dies ‘in the drawer’
Setback bill survived longer than any other attempt to reform trapping. After passing the full Senate, it was held in the Speaker's Drawer. We hope to see this bill considered for the interim committee process, and introduced again in the 2026 legislature. -

Dog injured in a leghold trap near Laramie, WY
A pet was caught in a trap on Dec 29, 2024 near Laramie, Wyoming. The dog was slightly injured.
