    Bobcats Under Siege

    Bobcats are facing increasing threats across the country.  November 15 marks the beginning of bobcat trapping season in Wyoming in which they can be killed in unlimited numbers from now until March 1, 2017.  In Illinois, a new bobcat hunting season has been instituted for the first time in more than 40 years.

    Illinois Senator Proposes Ban on Bobcat Trapping

    SPRINGFIELD — A state senator from suburban Chicago plans to move forward with a bill that would ban the trapping of bobcats and the sale of their pelts ahead of the state’s first legal hunting season for the once-threatened species in more than 40 years.
