Rare Pacific Fishers Set Free in Washington State
MOUNT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK, WASHINGTON — 10 Fishers were released into the wild in an effort to repopulate the Northern Cascades with the small carnivores who were driven to local extinction by trapping and hunting.
Hopefully in the near future we will be able to see fisher once again in Wyoming. However, until trapping is further restricted, these animals will remain an extirpated species.
