Public, stakeholder, and partner engagement are key components of the SWAP. In spring 2025, public feedback was sought on the 2017 SWAP, which will inform the ongoing revision. In spring 2026, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department will make a complete draft of the SWAP plan available for public comment. Mar 11 2025 Effort to ban trapping near Wyoming trails gains ground but dies ‘in the drawer’
Setback bill survived longer than any other attempt to reform trapping. After passing the full Senate, it was held in the Speaker's Drawer. We hope to see this bill considered for the interim committee process, and introduced again in the 2026 legislature. -
