Josh and Beth were out walking. They heard their dog screaming and ran to where he was. The older cocker spaniel had its leg caught in a leghold trap. Josh said he was glad Beth was there because the dog was biting because it was in so much pain. Beth held Norman while Josh released the trap. They were glad their dog wasn’t larger because it probably would have torn ligaments and been hurt further while struggling to get away from the trap. They were surprised Norman wasn’t injured since he is a smaller dog and older. Josh has seen many traps [in that area].
