Judge Approves Deal That Tightens Trapping To Protect Lynx

A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit over lynx trapping after wildlife activists and state officials reached a settlement that will limit the types of traps and snares that can be sued to catch the animals. Also included in the settlement was a two-year extension of a moratorium on trapping wolverines, another snow-loving predator.  Wolverine trapping has been prohibited in Montana since 2012.
