Dog caught in snare near West Table Boat Ramp, WY
A dog was caught in an illegal snare near West Table Boat Ramp. The trapper was cited for illegal snaring, but the snare was given back to the trapper! The dog is uninjured. -

Concern increases with trapping near high use trails on public lands
Surely there is room for some common sense approach instead of just ignoring the issue and railing about dogs as a way to avoid the discussion. Surely there is a better way forward. -

Dog caught in snare, Vedauwoo, Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest, WY
A dog, a basset hound mix, was caught in a snare by his front feet, in Vedauwoo Recreation Area, near Laramie, Wyoming. This is the third trapping incident in Vedauwoo during this winter season. Until we can separate traps and trails, please stay vigilant.
